The "Calm"

Wow, May 22nd seems forever ago. Probably because it was. Ok, so it's August. Life has been, to say the least, hectic with a mix of chaos. PA came.... and PA is now GONE. Well, not "officially" but in our hearts and minds it is. I'm going to spare you all the painful details, but praise God for the calm in the storm. Mind you, I said "in the storm", not before the storm. The "storm" isn't quite over, but we're in the calm. Or should I be saying I'm in the "eye of the storm"? Hmmm, should probably check that with my brother the meterologist. :)

So... life hasn't necessarily turned out as I had expected it to, but all I know is that my God is a GOOD God and I can genuinely say, "Thanks" God! Who would've thought it, eh? I'm just gonna keep plugging away and loving on my girls, my husband and the work God has put before me. I've got a good, good life here in central Illinois and I'm done chasing after something He doesn't want for us. He wants us here. This moment. This period of time. In this place called central Illinois... and I'm grateful that I get to experience joyful contentment in the here and now.
