Well, apparently I'm in a contest now... with the cutest Atticus I know. How can I compete with him? The contest has been dubbed by my closest friend, Melissa (who at this point is probably the only one reading my blog!), who got her sister to start a blog for her nephew, Atticus. BUT, to Mel's dismay, she doesn't get enough of Atticus on his blog. SO, with my debut into BLOGGER world, she has told her sister and I that we're in a contest to see who blogs the most!! I asked her the other night what the prize was... I thought a flight down to Vegas would suffice, but she just laughed. So... prize or no prize... the contest is ON!!! Watch out Atticus, Ann is now a blogger! :)
I thought I'd start this blog with the intentions of sharing our wilderness story, but being that I'm typing this while watching Strawberry Shortcake Cinderella with my oldest, I'm just not in the "mood". She's sick with some virus, so I've got kleenex duty and not loving what that all involves. Seriously, can a three year old NOT grab a kleenex when snot is running down their nose? NO! They'd rather smack their lips when it's finally on their lips... or use their sleeve and smear it all across their face. YUCK. Poor girl, she can't win... she's got rudolph's nose right now.
To top off kleenex duty, I was on my way to work a few hours at the church this morning when the car started flashing "Reduced Engine Power" with this beeping sound... and then the engine temp light was at H and the engine symbol came on. The power in the car starting cutting. I got off the highway and got a ride to my in-laws. Long story short... happened to Josh last night on the way home... has happened to him before... swears it's some electrical thing... the car is fine... just had to wait and turn it back on...but with heat running. Confused? It's ok, I was too. BUT, confused or not, I drove it back home, had no problems, just had the engine light still on. So, thinking we just need a computer to reset our system, Josh takes it to have the oil changed and this big thunderstorm blows through and knocks out the power... at WALMART!!! Josh turns in his ticket, comes home with the car...not having the oil changed OR getting the computer reset (hoping that that's all that is needed??!!) Seriously, this kind of stuff happens to us alll the time.
All a part of the WILDERNESS.

Hey Ann,
Remember me!??! I'm reading your blog too. I found you through Nathan Davis' blog. I got to see him earlier this spring while we were in SoCal.
Jon & I are doing well. Life is good and we are so happy. Hope we can stay in touch!
Love, Sara :)
I know this is weird, but my blog just changed...like 2 hours after I posted here the first time!
