The summer kicked off with a huge celebration! My grandpa turned 90 and we had a big family/friend get together at Pikes Peak in Iowa (overlooks the Mississippi River and my home town in WI). Here's Josh and Grandpa!

Here's my Dad, his two sisters from San Diego and Grandpa!

Lauren loved hanging with Uncle Dwayne (ok, here's really my Dad's cousin, but he's still Uncle Dwayne to us!)

The girls loved playing with Nonie and Papa's neighbor's cats!

Every day- at least three times a day!
We did some hiking...
But a definite highlight was going to the World Circus Museum in Baraboo, WI.
Roger the Clown has a new apprentice!
And another new apprentice (except she was really shy afterwards and didn't want people to see her face - she's not one for the attention on her!)
Posing before the kids circus- where they get to put on the circus! Kaylor was a horse!
Hiking at a family friend's farm in WI. They are looking for the mulberry bushes!
Found it!
Everyone is exhausted from all the berries eaten and the playing!
A summer without smores and camping is not a real summer in our book!
We wrapped up our summer vacation in the midwest with another family reunion on Josh's side in Branson, MO.
Kaylor enjoyed her first experience tubing!
Lauren on the other hand did not. She wanted to go... with Great Uncle Kurt....
He's asking if this is fun...
She's not real sure and saying "not really"
AND then it was definitely not fun when they started to fall into the water. Luckily Great Uncle Kurt managed to keep her up on the tube- although she was scarred for life- as she did get a little bit wet!
Another highlight from our Branson stint was the visit from our very close friends who recently moved in the area where we were staying! They are our old chums from NH!
The only little guy who isn't in the picture is our newest cousin- by next summer he'll be running with this crazy rambunctious crew!
