Settling in

It's been a week and one day since we arrived back to our old place here in Manchester! Little has changed, but what has is for the better! The city has had nice improvements and we've gotten out and enjoyed the park and nice days.

It didn't take long for me to un-pack since (by nature) I like to feel settled as quickly as possible for my life not to feel stressed and chaotic! We also left a lot of things back in Illinois. Until we can get into a house, we just couldn't move everything! Having lived in Poland for 6 weeks out of suitcases, I think we'll handle not having everything! Believe me, we moved plenty out... we're not short in the "stuff" department! We put the girls in our old room as it's the biggest and we want them to have the most room run around in. Well, walk.... we're constantly telling them "don't jump, don't run, don't be loud!" It's tough living in a second floor apartment (even if it is a home!) when all you've known as a kid is your own home to run around in and be as loud as you want to be! We're one week into it, it'll get better!

So basically it's been a week of getting all the "ducks in a row" and details, details, details! Josh began his new job with the Boys and Girls Club and is enjoying the students. We got Kaylor registered for her new school and found the appropriate clothing for her since they wear uniforms. I don't mind the whole uniform thing, it's just that we shelled out money for fall school clothes already! More for Lauren to wear then I guess!

Kaylor starts on Monday and I'll be taking her to school! I'll begin working on the 3rd. Next week it'll be Lauren and I working on getting my curriculum ready! We met a gal through mutual friends that actually lives two blocks from us, has a 7 month old daughter and is staying home. She is going to take Lauren in the afternoons and both girls on Fridays (Kaylor only has school M-Th). We're so thankful for this unexpected blessing as I know Lauren will love playing with a baby! I love that they live close by as well! Things are most definitely falling into place and I've already made it out to the ocean with the girls. My mom drove out with us and it was a good excuse to go see the coast before she had to fly home! Lauren and Kaylor are scared of of live lobsters, have tried scallops (lauren ate them up, but kaylor stuck with the fries...and she was even born in this state!!), and will more than likely become beach bums some day. Because it's not suppose to rain tomorrow, we're going to take a drive up along the coastline again tomorrow and hit some of our old stops with the girls. I'm really excited! The girls really loved playing in the sand... even if they were wearing sweatshirts, hats and jeans! I'm taking the camera tomorrow, so will post some pictures!

Anways... we're getting settled in and have so much to be thankful for... the "weirdness" of living in our old apartment is pretty much gone now. It's our new home (Kaylor likes to call it her hotel!) for now, but will be most grateful to find a home "home" to settle into! I hope this finds everyone well...

Wow! I can't believe your back at your old place. Ah, the memories there. I love that apartment, although I never could figure out the washing machine/shower arrangement. Love you guys!
