Our Friend Adam

Adam is Polish. He stayed with us last Thursday (same day we returned from vacation!) and left our home on Monday. He'll be flying back to Poland on the 8th. We will already be there! I met him in Poland two years ago and he has quite the life story. He is so unique and has a heart for street kids, mainly because of his own life story. Josh and Adam hit it off and they spent a lot of time together.... visiting farms, seeing the Abraham Lincoln Museum, etc. This is Adam's first visit to the States and it was really cool to see him experience it firsthand! He missed Polish food (I would to, it's good!) and he got to experience some firsts:
- some farms in America
- a 4th of July Parade (he was in the float for our church and had a lot of fun throwing out candy and hanging with the little kiddo's in the float!)
- chipmunks on the bike trail
- french toast
- krispy cream donuts
- grill-out and outdoor bbq
- St. Louis, MO sights like the Arch and Union Station
- boat ride on Lake Springfield
- swinging on an old fashioned tree swing by the lake
- helping with a mostacholli dinner at Westside Christian Church (fundraiser for the two teams going to Poland this summer...how cool was that to have him there?!!)

I think meeting Adam was a great springboard for what's yet to come in Poland for Josh as they had so much fun together. I appreciate Josh taking the reigns and really doing the most hosting! Thank you to those who have helped make Adam's visit to the states a great experience. We pray for Adam while at the Cornerstone Festival in Bushnell, IL. We pray he can make some contacts for speakers and musicians to invite them to Poland and reach out the youth in Poland!
